St Helenian Plo this was one of the most popular dishes that I made a few years ago when I had my catering business, always a sell out but, until now I have never shared the recipe. Living on St Helena, (that’s where I’m from) this is the one meal that is almost guaranteed to be made by most families each week. It’s so versatile because you can add almost any vegetables and use any meat or fish and yet it always taste good.
This dish is the life and soul of many a party on the island of St Helena, especially if it was a seaside party or camping trip and most times it was made where the party was held on an open fire, how I miss those days :-/ Anyway, here’s the recipe for St Helenian Plo made healthy… ( I have adapted the recipe slightly)
Melanie would this be able to be done in a slow cooker??? Looks fantastic
Krys xx
I’m not to sure, haven’t done it in the slow cooker myself, but it’s worth a try. Let me know how it turns out if you give it a go. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.
