With the raising cost of food, it’s no surprise that 1 in 5 Brits are finding it hard to sustain a healthy diet.  Although some would argue, statistics show otherwise that the recession affects healthy eating habits.

With a little imagination and planning there are ways to still follow a healthy diet with a tight budget.  Buying and cooking in bulk will save you pennies, bulk out certain meals with ingredients like beans, lentils, and tomatoes.  Always shop around and look for deals. And remember, frozen fruit and vegetables are just as nutritious as fresh but can sometimes cost a fraction of the price.
